Greetings and salutations, I’m AJ! I’m an afro-latinx gothic artist based in NY and the artist behind RigorMorbidArt. Here lies a safe space for alternative art in the world of traditional fine art.

I attended and graduated the Fashion Institute of Technology of NYC majoring in Fine Arts and currently am a candidate for my Bachelors in Biology. With my art and biology schoolbackgrounds, I incorporate anatomical, macabre, and surreal subject matter in my works. My work does more than look beautiful; it tells a story that captures the good, the bad, and the uncomfortable aspects of being a human in this world. While living in a society which many are afraid to confront reality, I’m here to share my life through my lens as a way to learn more about myself and to hopefully connect with people who appreciates art that lies outside the mainstream and that makes them feel less alone in this mad world.
